Last week, as part of UKL’s commitment to H&S and compliance standards, our Regional Manager, Matt Minter, visited our key client Asda’s distribution centres in Kent to carry out audits focusing on team compliance and customer satisfaction.
Cluster Facilities Manager, Rob Austin, stressed the link between Asda site staff and the UKL dedicated in-house landscaping team meant that excellent service levels are maintained, contributing towards Asda’s goals.
In fact, one of the Kent depots visited won Asda’s ‘Depot Of The Year’ Award in 2018 with UKL’s landscaping helping to boost that all important first impression when the judges visited the site.
The UKL team tasked with keeping the Kent depot’s landscaping looking great is made up of Chris King and Matt George.
Rob Austin told us “Chris and Matt are integral and valued members of the Asda team in this area, their proactive approach and professional manner means that the landscaping is the last item on the agenda at my weekly meeting with depot managers. In fact, I can’t remember the last time Asda raised a question about the landscaping at any of my depots” high praise indeed for a job unobtrusively and well done.
